Airport – Colombo
We will arrive in Colombo at midday and transfer from Airport to Colombo.
Rest of the day is at leisure.
Option: Colombo
Go on a city tour of Colombo. Colombo like many capital cities in developing
countries is fast changing its face. Dinner and overnight stay at Galle
Face Hotel

Colombo – Udawalawe
After breakfast at Galle Face Hotel leave for Udawalawe.
Udawalawe National Park
At the park entrance we will get in to 4WD jeeps and travel to our campsite
inside the park. In the afternoon, we do a safari of the Udawalawe National
Park by jeep. This park is world famous for its elephants, seen in all
their playfulness, whole herds of them, adults and babies bathing and
playing in the water or feeding. We will return to the campsite, which
will be lit by lanterns and campfire. Dinner and overnight stay at campsite. |

Udawalawe -Yala
Take an early jeep safari which will be an unforgettable bird watching
experience. Return to campsite for breakfast. Thereafter transfer from
Udawalawe to Yala via Tissamaharama In the evening, we start our Leopard
hunt with a safari at Yala National Park. However we will be allowed
to shoot only with our cameras.
Yala (ruhunu) National Park
Do a jeep safari in Yala National Park. Our main focus of this safari
will be leopard and our interpreter will take us through the special
route where we will have more opportunities to encounter leopard. Dinner
and overnight stay at Yala Village.

Yala
Start an early jeep safari of the Yala National Park. Take a picnic
breakfast to have inside the park. The first part of the safari will
focus more on leopard. The latter part of the safari will open our eyes
towards the other fauna and flora of the park.
In the evening leave for second safari of the day at Yala National Park.
Dinner and overnight stay at Yala Village.

Yala
Breakfast at Yala Village. Morning is at leisure. In the evening visit
Yala National Park. This will be our last opportunity to visit Yala
during this tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Yala Village.

Yala – Situlpawwa – Yala
Breakfast at Yala Village. Thereafter visit Situlpahuwa Temple.
Situlpawwa
This ancient temple is located in the middle of the jungle. When we
climb to the top of Situlpahuwa rock, we will have a nice view of Yala
National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Yala Village.

Yala – Galle – Colombo
Breakfast at Yala Village. Transfer from Yala to Galle. Galle
Do a city tour of Galle, which was once the chief port of Ceylon as
Sri Lanka was named by the British and which is a World Heritage Site
now. Transfer from Galle to Colombo. Dinner and overnight stay at Galle
Face Hotel. |

Important Notes
- You are strongly advised to obey the instructions given by the
interpreter and the Wild Life Dept.officers while you are seeing
the animals.
- The facilities at the campsite are basic and will include accommodation
in camping tents, sleeping bags, sheets, pillows, torches, towels,
soap and camping toilet facilities. Bottled water and other beverages
will be provided as requested at extra cost.
- It will be more comfortable to wear light clothes and soft shoes.
- It is recommended that you wear dull- coloured clothes when you
are going to see wildlife.
- It is recommended that you take sunglasses, sun block lotion,
insect repellent and personal effects for warm / windy / rainy conditions,
- The visits to wild life parks will be at clients' own risk. The
jeeps available are very basic (though specially designed for wildlife
safaris) with basic insurance cover.
